It coudl very well be about his shirt, but a lot of people play golf and wear goofy clothes on the golf course. But to have a phone company shirt with your name on it, a hard hat etc it a little odd, even for Art.

I would say the #1 thing is he almost shoots you when hunting crows (big suckers too).  I remember having a discussion about Art's job. I think in the scene when he is up the telephone pole he has a shirt on with his name and I think the company was a phone company.
