To the 80's hard rock / melodic rock fans

I just recently discovered an awesome yet completely unknown group named "Tangier" which I wanted to share with you since there songs are in my opinion really awesome. I really don't know why they haven't been more famous. Check this out:

    Goals 2022

Hey Pathologist, hope you had a great start in the new year, too. A virtual meeting would indeed be interesting. We probably all don't have virtual reality glasses (me neither) but it would also be cool if we could watch it together in a virtual cinema one day. :) And besides of this with...

    Any collectors in our neighborhood?

    Fangoria interviews Joe Dante

Thanks for that, Dave. You can really tell that the interviewer is a fan of The Burbs. It's also nice that Joe takes almost half an hour. Much is indeed known, although I heard for the first time, for example, that Tom Hanks and Rick Ducommun had certain tensions on the set. Also, I'm not even...

    "Herr" Klopek

I'm from Germany and was aware that he called him "Herr" Klopek. We had a discussion on this board several years ago in which we speculated whether the Klopeks might even have some Nazi origin: https://www.theburbs.club/threads/klopek-what-is-that-slavic.36/page-2

Wow, those are real gems you discovered there. A little too expensive for me but great items for any collector of Burbs memorabilia.

    What is this item ?

I once read they filmed a scene in which they are digging out some sort of bomb but didn't use it in the final cut. Could this be some kind of grenade or something? But to me it also looks like a bottle.

    Thanksgiving at Mayfield Place

Walter? The old fart has trained his dog to poop on the neighbor's lawn. I think he'd rather be invited. :D Somehow I can imagine Carol being a very good hostess. Everything is beautifully festively laid out, etc. Bonnie brings the brownies, Ricky takes care of the right background music...

Correct, he died on May 18 this year. Hackman..I say he's alive. Should have been in the news if he died. But maybe I missed it?

Alright, may I start a new one? What about Charles Grodin? Grodin became familiar as a supporting actor in many Hollywood comedies of the era, including Real Life (1979), Seems Like Old Times (1980), The Great Muppet Caper (1981), Ishtar (1987), Dave (1993), and Clifford (1994). Grodin...

    The 'Burbs Bacon Numbers

That's pretty hilarious :) And quite fascinating, too. All roads lead to Bacon somehow. I tried the most absurd examples and couldn't get a higher bacon number than 3.

True :) To me Dorian Harewood is one of these "I haven't seen him but don't remember in which movie" guys. For example he was in Full Metal Jacket, Sudden Death, the remake of 12 Angry Men, but also appeared on some TV shows like 7th Heaven or Private Practice. Do you want to make a...
